The Child Health Nursing Lab equips students with skills to provide comprehensive care to infants, children, and adolescents. It helps students understand growth, development, and common pediatric health problems.
Objectives:
To develop competencies in pediatric nursing assessment and care.
To train students in managing common childhood illnesses and emergencies.
To enhance skills in growth and development monitoring.
To promote health education and preventive care for children and families.
To prepare students for effective communication and counseling with children and caregivers.
Key Activities:
Monitoring growth parameters and developmental milestones.
Demonstration of immunization and vaccination procedures.
Practice of pediatric nursing procedures, including feeding, medication, and hygiene.
Simulation of common pediatric emergencies and first aid.
Health education sessions for parents and caregivers.

Pediatric mannequins and child care simulators.
