The Nutrition Lab enables students to understand the principles of nutrition, diet planning, and therapeutic diets. It helps students apply nutritional knowledge in patient care and community health settings.
Objectives:
To teach students about macro and micronutrients and their functions.
To develop skills in assessing dietary needs and nutritional status.
To enable planning and preparation of balanced diets for different age groups and health conditions.
To demonstrate therapeutic diets for patients with specific medical conditions.
To promote awareness of healthy eating habits and nutritional guidelines.

Diet survey and nutritional assessment of individuals and families.
Preparation and planning of normal, therapeutic, and special diets.
Demonstration of food hygiene and safe food handling practices.
Cooking and menu planning exercises.
Nutritional counseling sessions.

Diet charts, food composition tables, and guides.
Kitchen equipment for practical diet preparation.
